Photography Tour of the Historic South End
Did you know that Flynn Ave was originally created as a dirt driveway for a small farm that was located in the vicinity of the present-day entrance to Oakledge Park? During the South End Crawl, historian Britta Fenniman Tonn (Preservation Burlington) and photographer Lee Krohn led a group of 18 people through the Flynn Ave industrial section of the South End. Tonn explained the purpose of architectural construction and building location during Burlington’s industrial era (see more history compiled for this event here). Krohn led the photography portion of the tour, offering tips and advice on setting up a good shot with ordinary cameras.
